Thread Lift
It is a procedure on various areas of the body where absorbable sutures are placed through small holes under the skin to provide a small form of lift where there is skin laxity. The sutures when placed traumatize the area resulting in increased collagen synthesis by the body and this in turn causes the epidermis to tighten. Sutures are divided into two main categories.
Those with a smooth surface (smooth) that enhance collagen production and those with notches (barbed) when a more immediate and visible lifting effect is desired. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and lasts from 45 minutes and the result lasts up to a year.
It is indicated in areas with slight to moderate skin laxity and is not a substitute for surgical techniques. Find out with a consultation at our office what is right for you as well as the cost of the treatment.
